All-Inclusive Wedding Venues Are the Latest Trend

Choosing the best wedding venue can be a daunting process. The Stockhouse, Chicago’s newest events space, takes the stress out of the planning process with all-inclusive packages, approachable price points and a luxe penthouse loft that’s steeped in history.

Chicago Loft Venues’ catchphrase, “Memories Start Here,” isn’t just a tony tagline. The Lakeview-based venue management collective knows that choosing just the right space for your special day is no easy task, which is why they are raising the bar when it comes to amenities and innovations that leave a lasting impression.

“Couples have so many things to consider—a theme, the decor, ambiance, accessibility, budget, furniture rentals, proximity to hotels for guests and more,” says Joshua Yates, creative director at Chicago Loft Venues. “It can be overwhelming and, quite honestly, we’re seeing a lot more couples that either don’t have the time to take on the soup-to-nuts planning themselves or, because of the recession, the budget to work with an expensive wedding planner. This is where we come in. All of our venues are stacked with everything from design-forward tables and chairs to accent lighting and photo booths. And because we offer all-inclusive wedding packages and tiered price points that are sure to meet your budget, we’ve simplified the entire process.”

At nearly 10,000 total square feet (6,000 sq. ft. of indoor penthouse space plus 4,000 sq. ft. of outdoor, rooftop space), Chicago Loft Venues’ latest wedding venue, The Stockhouse, is garnering more than a little attention for its no-muss, no-fuss offerings and throwback vibes. “Unlike so many of the vanilla box venues out there in Chicago, The Stockhouse is enough of a blank slate to make it your own but, at the same time, has ample charm and Chicago character to tell a story,” says Yates, referencing the loft’s 24-foot-high terra cotta tile ceiling and polished concrete floors. “The building was formerly the Schoenhofen Brewery. Hosting your wedding at a turn-of-the-century Chicago brewery will infuse your celebration with instant caché.”

Long known as the producers of Edelweis Beer, the Schoenhofen Brewery was one of the largest and most elaborate breweries ever constructed in Chicago. First established in the early 1860s, it continued to function until Prohibition forced it to shutter. “In the late 1800s, Schoenhofen was this big compound of a brewery in Pilsen,” shares Yates. “And the late Victorian-era architecture is still intact, so the impact for guests is immense. It’s like you’re being transported back in time to when the Industrial Revolution was in full swing.”

Inside, however, a gut renovation design-and-build has brought the venue into the 21st century. The new footprint features elevator access to the penthouse, a sexy couples suite, revamped restrooms, high-end finishes throughout and a professional catering kitchen that’ll knock your socks off. From there, Chicago Loft Venues whitewashed the walls, opted for energy-efficient, floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for abundant natural light, and layered in vintage-inspired furniture—both round and farm-style table options as well as beaucoup King Louis chairs—for couples to choose from. “All of our loft spaces are rich with Chicago history,” adds Yates. “But The Stockhouse is unique in that it also boasts this epic rooftop for open-air party perfection with killer views of the Chicago skyline and a bar buildout. We have the option of setting up small cabanas up there, too, and creating seating vignettes with our vineyard wood folding chairs.”

For super easy peasy planning, ask about The Stockhouse’s All-Inclusive and Micro Weddings, which can include catering, a BYOB or beverage package, staffing, a day-of coordinator, floral, the venue (of course), and rentals starting at $100 per person. “We have the ability and experience to make your event into something memorable for you and your guests, even if you forgo working with a wedding planner,” says Yates. “We not only provide outstanding wedding venues, we also ensure our venues deliver on exquisite amenities like couple’s lounges or green rooms, programmable LED lightings, digital photo booths with customizable hashtags, parking options, custom-built tables and chairs, along with state-of-the-art planning tools like virtual tours, digital floor plan mapping, an online client portal and day-of live streaming. We’re a one-stop shop for all things weddings.”
